Singapore With Kids

Animals, water play, slides and science, with plenty of air-con for when someone melts down. Mornings are cooler and quieter almost everywhere. Three of these are free, and all of them have somewhere for adults to sit.

    A rainforest zoo with moats instead of cages. The orangutans swing right over the footpath.

    💡 Be at the gate for 08:30; the animals are liveliest before the heat. Tickets are date-specific, so buy online.

  2. 2. River Wonders

    A river-themed park with giant pandas, manatees and some truly enormous fish. Mostly shaded or indoors.

    💡 The best pick for a hot or wet afternoon. It sits next to the Zoo, so look at multi-park tickets.

  3. 3. Bird Paradise

    Walk-through aviaries where the birds fly over, past and occasionally at you. The penguins live indoors.

    💡 Start at the far aviaries and work back. The penguin building is the air-con break you will want.

  4. 4. Night Safari

    Ride a tram through a dark forest while tapirs, lions and hyenas go about their night. Oddly peaceful.

    💡 Book a timed entry online. Do the walking trails after the tram; most people skip them and miss the best bits.

  5. 5. Singapore Oceanarium

    The former S.E.A. Aquarium, reopened much larger in 2025. Giant ocean tank, jellyfish halls, zero sunburn.

    💡 Weekday mornings are quietest. Sit at the big ocean window for ten minutes; it is free therapy.

  6. 6. Universal Studios Singapore

    A compact Universal park: big coasters, movie zones and enough shows to fill a day without marathon walks.

    💡 Hours change by day, so check the park calendar. Weekdays are far calmer; ride the big coasters first.

  7. 7. Skyline Luge Sentosa

    Steer a gravity kart down a jungle track, then ride the chairlift back with the sea view. More fun than it has any right to be.

    💡 One ride is never enough, so buy a bundle. Small children ride with an adult.

    Halls of hands-on exhibits where pressing every button is encouraged. A solid half-day for curious kids.

    💡 Closed most Mondays. Under-8s get their own zone, KidsSTOP, which needs a pre-booked session.

  9. 9. Children's Museum Singapore

    Tue–Sun, timed sessions at 09:00, 11:00, 14:00 & 16:00; closed Mon

    Dress-up corners, pretend markets and no 'do not touch' signs. Singapore's museum made for small humans.

    💡 Entry is by timed session and they fill up. Reserve online before you go; closed on Mondays.

  10. 10. ArtScience Museum

    Sun–Thu 10:00–19:00; Fri–Sat 10:00–21:00

    The white lotus building at Marina Bay Sands. Inside: big immersive shows where art, tech and science collide.

    💡 Exhibitions rotate and are ticketed separately. Check what is on and book a timed slot for weekends.

  11. 11. Far East Organization Children's Garden

    Thu–Sun & public holidays 09:00–19:00 (Tue–Sun in school holidays)

    Fountains that chase toddlers, treehouses for the bigger ones, and it is free. Parents get shade.

    💡 Usually shut Mon–Wed outside school holidays. Bring a change of clothes; water play stops at 18:30.

  12. 12. Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

    Water play, a little farm, a stream and a suspension bridge. Adults only get in if a child brings them.

    💡 Pack swimwear and a towel for the water play. The treehouse is currently closed for repairs.

    A multi-storey play tower with tube slides, plus a big free water playground a few steps from the beach.

    💡 Water play and the climbing tower shut on Mondays. Go early or after 4pm; slides get hot at noon.

  14. 14. Canopy Park, Jewel Changi Airport

    The top floor of Jewel: bouncing nets, giant slides and hedge mazes, all in air-con beside the waterfall.

    💡 Attractions are ticketed separately or in bundles; buy online. Ideal for burning energy before a flight.
